Sec. 1101. (a) Section 205(b) (2) (A) (iv) of the National Defense Education Act of 1958 is amended by striking out “section 603” and inserting in lieu thereof “title VIII”. (b) (1) Section 427(a) (2) (C) of the Higher Education Act of 1965 is amended (1) by striking out “or” before “(iii)”, and (2) by inserting immediately after “Peace Corps Act,” the following: “or (iv) not in excess of three years during which the borrower is in service as a volunteer under title VIII of the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964,”. (2) The amendments made by this section shall not apply to any loan outstanding on the effective date of this Act without the consent of the borrowers.
