Agricultural Research Service salaries and expenses For an additional amount for “Salaries and expenses”, as follows: “Research”, $2,595,000, and “Plant and animal disease and pest control”, $2,077,000, and in addition not to exceed $25,000 of the amount made available under the appropriation head “Payments to States and Puerto Rico” of Public Law 89–556 may be transferred to and merged with this appropriation for the administration of Public Law 89–544, approved August 24, 1966.
