insured status for younger disabled workers Sec. 105. (a) Subparagraph (B)(ii) of section 216(i)(3) of the Social Security Act is amended by striking out “and he is under a disability by reason of blindness (as defined in paragraph (1))”. (b) Subparagraph (B)(ii) of section 223(c)(1) of such Act is amended by striking out “before he attains” and inserting in lieu thereof “before the quarter in which he attains”, and by striking out “and he is under a disability by reason of blindness (as defined in section 216(i)(1))”. (c) The amendment made by subsection (a) shall apply only with respect to applications for disability determinations filed under section 216(i) or the Social Security Act in or after the month in which this Act is enacted. The amendments made by subsection (b) shall apply with respect to monthly benefits under title II of such Act for months after January 1968, but only on the basis of applications for such benefits filed in or after the month in which this Act is enacted.
