payment of reasonable charges for radiological or pathological services furnished by certain physicians to hospital inpatients Sec. 131. (a) Section 1833(a)(1) of the Social Security Act is amended— (1) by striking out “except that” and inserting in lieu thereof “except that (A)”, and (2) by striking out “of subsection (b)” and inserting in lieu thereof “of subsection (b), and (B) with respect to expenses 81 Stat. 850incurred for radiological or pathological services for which payment may be made under this part, furnished to an inpatient of a hospital by a physician in the field of radiology or pathology, the amounts paid shall be equal to 100 percent of the reasonable charges for such services”. (b) Section 1833(b) of such Act (as amended by section 129(c)(7) of this Act) is amended by inserting before the period at the end thereof the following: “, and (2) such total amount shall not include expenses incurred for radiological or pathological services furnished to such individual as an inpatient of a hospital by a physician in the field of radiology or pathology”. (c) The amendments made by this section shall apply with respect to services furnished after March 31, 1968.
