Sec. 207. Investigative and other essential positions which are financed by appropriations in this Act for the Federal Bureau of Investigation which are determined by the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation to be essential to the operations of the Federal Bureau of Investigation may be filled without regard to the provisions of section 201 of Public Law 90–364, and such positions shall not be taken into consideration in determining numbers of employees under subsection (a) of that section or numbers of vacancies under subsection (b) of that section. This title may be cited as the “Department of Justice Appropriation Act, 1969”.
