The second sentence of section 223(a) of the Higher Education Act of 1965 is amended— (1) by striking out “to assist in covering the cost of courses of training or study for such persons, and” and inserting in lieu thereof “(1) to assist in covering the cost of courses of training or study (including short term or regular session institutes) for such persons, (2)”; and (2) by inserting before the period at the end thereof the following: “, and (3) for establishing, developing, or expanding programs of library and information science”.
