technical amendments Sec. 301. (a) Except as otherwise specifically provided by this title, part II, title 18, United States Code (relating to criminal procedure) is amended by: (1) striking out the words “United States commissioner” wherever they appear therein, and inserting in lieu thereof the, words “United States magistrate”; (2) striking out the words “United States commissioners” wherever they appear therein, and inserting in lieu thereof the words “United States magistrates”; (3) striking out the word “commissioner” wherever it appears in relation to a United States Commissioner, and inserting in lieu thereof the word “magistrate”; (4) striking out the word “Commissioners” wherever it appears in relation to United States commissioners, and inserting in lieu thereof the word “magistrates”. (b) Section 202(a) of title 18, United States Code, is amended by striking out words “or a part-time United States Commissioner ”, and inserting in lieu thereof the words “a part-time United States commissioner, or a part-time United States magistrate”. (c) The chapter caption of chapter 219, part II, title 18, United States Code, is amended to read as follows: “Chapter 219.—TRIAL BY UNITED STATES MAGISTRATES”
