(a) Section 1811 (d) (2) of title 38, United States Code, is amended by inserting before the period at the end thereof the following: “; except that the Administrator may increase the $17,500 limitations specified in this paragraph to an amount not to exceed $25,000 where he finds that cost levels so require”. (b) Section 1811 (d) (3) of such title is amended by inserting before the period at the end thereof the following: “; except that the Administrator may increase such aggregate amount to an amount not to exceed $25,000 where he finds that cost levels so require”.
