Procurement of Equipment and Missiles, Army For expenses necessary for the procurement, manufacture, and modification of missiles, armament, ammunition, equipment, vehicles, vessels, and aircraft for the Army and the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps; purchase of not to exceed five thousand two hundred and seventy-six passenger motor vehicles (including one medium sedan at 83 Stat. 476not to exceed $3,000) for replacement only; expenses which in the discretion of the Secretary of the Army are necessary in providing facilities for production of equipment and supplies for national defense purposes, including construction, and the furnishing of Government-owned facilities and equipment at privately owned plants; and ammunition for military salutes at institutions to which issue of weapons for salutes is authorized; $4,254,400,000, and in addition, $50,000,000 shall be derived by transfer from the Defense stock fund, to remain available until expended.
