STANDARDS OF COMPLIANCE TEST PROGRAM.

SEC. 2505. STANDARDS OF COMPLIANCE TEST PROGRAM. Section 103 of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act of 1966 (15 U.S.C. 1392) is amended by adding at the end the following: “(j) The Secretary shall establish and periodically review and update on a continuing basis a 5-year plan for testing Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards that are capable, in the Secretary’s judgment, of being tested. In developing the plan and establishing testing priorities, the Secretary shall take into consideration such factors as the Secretary deems appropriate, consistent with the purposes of this Act and the Secretary’s other responsibilities under this Act. The Secretary may at any time adjust such priorities to address matters the Secretary deems of greater priority. The initial plan may be the 5-year plan for compliance testing in effect on the date of enactment of this subsection.”.
