agency reports Sec. 236. Whenever the General Accounting Office has made a report which contains recommendations to the head of any Federal agency, such agency shall— (1) not later than sixty days after the date of such report, submit a written statement to the Committees on Government Operations of the House of Representatives and the Senate of the action taken by such agency with respect to such recommendations; and (2) in connection with the first request for appropriations for that agency submitted to the Congress more than sixty days after the date of such report, submit a written statement to the Committees on Appropriations of the House of Representatives and the Senate of the action taken by such agency with respect to such recommendations.
