Sec. 613. Chapter 139 of title 10, United States Code, is amended as follows: (1) by adding the following new section at the end thereof: “§2683. Relinquishment of legislative jurisdiction “(a) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the Secretary of a military department may, whenever he considers it desirable, relinquish to a State all or part of the legislative jurisdiction of the United States over lands or interests under his control in that State. Relinquishment of legislative jurisdiction under this section may be accomplished (1) by filing with the Governor of the State concerned a notice of relinquishment to take effect upon acceptance thereof, or (2) as the laws of the State may otherwise provide. “(b) The authority granted by this section is in addition to and not instead of that granted by any other provision of law.”: and (2) by adding the following new’ item at the end of the analysis: “2683. Relinquishment of legislative jurisdiction.”
