alaska highway Sec. 119. (a) The President, acting through the Secretaries of State and Transportation, is authorized to undertake negotiations with the Government of Canada for the purpose of entering into a suitable agreement authorizing paving and reconstructing the Alaska Highway from Dawson Creek, Canada, (including a connecting highway to Haines, Alaska), to the Alaska border, including, but not limited to, necessary highway realinement. (b) The President shall report to Congress not later than one year after the date of enactment of this section the results of his negotiations under this section.
