penalty for violations Sec. 311. (a) Any person who violates any of the provisions of this title shall be fined not more than $1,000 or imprisoned not more than one year, or both. (b) In case of any conviction under this title, where the punishment inflicted does not include imprisonment, such conviction shall be deemed a misdemeanor conviction only.
