Title IV of chapter 2 of part I of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961, relating to the Overseas Private Investment Corporation, is amended as follows: (a) In the first proviso of section 238(c), relating to definitions, strike out “required by law to be”. (b) At the end of section 239, relating to general provisions and powers, add the following new subsection: “(g) Except for the provisions of this title, no other provision of this or any other law shall be construed to prohibit the operation in Yugoslavia or Romania of the programs authorized by this title, if the President determines that the operation of such program in such country is important to the national interest.”. (c) Section 240(h), relating to agricultural credit and self-help community development projects, is amended by striking out “June 30, 1972” and inserting in lieu thereof “June 30, 1973”.
