SEC. 332. INCLUSION OF PERSIAN GULF WAR WITHIN DEFINITION OF “PERIOD OF WAR” FOR PURPOSES OF VETERANS BENEFITS Section 101 of title 38, United States Code, is amended— (1) in paragraph (11), by inserting “the Persian Gulf War,” after “the Vietnam era,”; and (2) by adding at the end the following new paragraph: “(33) The term ‘Persian Gulf War’ means the period beginning on August 2, 1990, and ending on the date thereafter prescribed by Presidential proclamation or by law.”.
