(a) (1) Section 531(b) of the Higher Education Act of 1965 is further amended by striking out the period at the end of clause (11) and inserting in lieu thereof a semicolon and the word “and”, and by adding at the end thereof the following new clause: “(12) programs and projects designed to meet the need for the training of teachers for participation in education programs for migratory children of migratory agricultural workers, including teacher exchange programs.”. (2) Section 531 (c) of such Act is amended by striking out “or” at the end of clause (2), and inserting in lieu thereof a semicolon and the word “or”, and by adding at the end thereof the following new clause (4): 86 Stat. 288 “(4) such activities as may be necessary to carry out the purposes of clause (12) of subsection (b), to the extent that such activities are not inconsistent with the other provisions of this part.”. (b) The amendments made by subsection (a) shall be effective after June 30, 1972.
