exemption of christian science sanatoriums from certain nursing home requirements under medicaidSec. 268. (a) Section 1902(a) of the Social Security Act is amended by adding at the end thereof the following new sentence: “For purposes of paragraphs (9) (A), (29), (31), and (33), and of section 1903(i) (4), the terms ‘skilled nursing home’ and ‘nursing home’ do not 86 Stat. 1451include a Christian Science sanatorium operated, or listed and certified, by the First Church of Christ, Scientist, Boston, Massachusetts.” (b) Section 1908(g) (1) of such Act is amended by inserting after “Secretary” the following: “, but does not include a Christian Science sanatorium operated, or listed and certified, by the First Church of Christ, Scientist, Boston, Massachusetts”. (c) The amendments made by this section shall be effective on the date of the enactment of this Act.
