exclusion of certain earnings in year of attaining age 72 Sec. 106. (a) The first sentence of section 203(f) (3) of the Social Security Act (as amended by section 105(a)(3) of this Act) is further amended by inserting before the period at the end thereof the following: “, except that, in determining an individual’s excess earnings for the taxable year in which he attains age 72, there shall be excluded any earnings of such individual for the month in which he attains such age and any subsequent month (with any net earnings or net loss from self-employment in such year being prorated in an equitable manner under regulations of the Secretary)”. 86 Stat. 1343 (b) The amendment made by subsection (a) shall apply with respect to taxable years ending after December 1972.
