workmen’s compensation offset for disability insurance beneficiaries Sec. 119. (a) The next to last sentence of section 224(a) of the Social Security Act is amended— (1) by striking out “larger” and inserting in lieu thereof “largest”, (2) by striking out “or” before “(B)”, and (3) by inserting before the period at the end thereof the following: “, or (C) one-twelfth of the total of his wages and self-employment income (computed without regard to the limitations specified in sections 209(a) and 211(b)(1)) for the calendar year in which he had the highest such wages and income during the period consisting of the calendar year in which he became disabled (as defined in section 223(d)) and the five years preceding that year”. (b) The last sentence of section 224(a) of such Act is amended by striking out “clause (B)” and inserting in lieu thereof “clauses (B) and (C)”. (c) The amendments made by subsections (a) and (b) shall apply with respect to monthly benefits under title II of the Social Security Act for months after December 1972.
