Federal Communications Commission salaries and expenses For necessary expenses for the Federal Communications Commission, as authorized by law, including uniforms or allowances therefor, as authorized by law (5 U.S.C. 5901–5902); not to exceed $125,000 for land and structures; not to exceed $30,000 for improvement and care of grounds and repairs to buildings; not to exceed $1,500 for official reception and representation expenses; purchase (not to exceed eight) and hire of motor vehicles; special counsel fees; and services as authorized by 5 U.S.C. 3109; $39,860,000, and that not to exceed $800.000 shall be available for travel expenses: Provided, That not to exceed $500,000 of the foregoing amount shall remain available until June 30, 1975, for research and policy studies.
