Sec. 501. (a) For the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1973, and ending June 30, 1974, each component of the Armed Forces is authorized an average military training student load as follows: (1) The Army, 89,200; (2) The Navy, 75,800; (3) The Marine Corps, 28,000; (4) The Air Force, 55,100; (5) The Anny National Guard of the United States, 19,100; (6) The Anny Reserve, 59,900; (7) The Naval Reserve, 17,400; (8) The Marine Corps Reserve, 6,700; (9) The Air National Guard of the United States, 4,600; (10) The Air Force Reserve, 24,300; (b) The average military training student loads for the Army, the Navy, the Marine Corps, and the Air Force prescribed in subsection (a) of this section for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1974, shall be87 Stat. 609 reduced consistent with the overall reduction in manpower provided for in title III of this Act. Such reduction shall be apportioned among the Army, the Navy, the Marine Corps, and the Air Force in such maimer as the Secretary of Defense shall prescribe.
