Railroad Retirement Board payments for military service credits For payments to the railroad retirement account for military service credits under the Railroad Retirement Act, as amended (45 U.S.C. 228c–1), $22,478,000. limitation on salaries and expenses For expenses necessary for the Railroad Retirement Board, including purchase (for replacement only and at a cost not to exceed $4,500) of one passenger motor vehicle, $21,330,000, to be derived from the railroad retirement accounts: Provided, That $500,000 of the foregoing amount shall be apportioned for use pursuant to section 3679 87 Stat. 764of the Revised Statutes, as amended (31 U.S.C. 660), only to the extent necessary to process workloads not anticipated in the budget estimates and after maximum absorption of the costs of such workloads within the remainder of the foregoing limitation has been achieved.
