That paragraph “Seventh” of section 5136 of the Revised Statutes (12 U.S.C. 24) is amended by adding at the end thereof the following: “Notwithstanding any other provision in this paragraph, the association may purchase for its own account shares of stock issued by a corporation organized solely for the purpose of making loans to farmers and ranchers for agricultural purposes, including the breeding, raising, fattening, or marketing of livestock. However, unless the association owns at least 80 per centum of the stock of such agricultural credit corporation the amount invested by the association at any one time hi the stock of such corporation shall not exceed 20 per centum of the unimpaired capital and surplus of the association.”.
