Sec. 62. (a) The Secretary of the Army, acting through the Chief of Engineer’s, is authorized to perform such work as may be necessary to provide for the repair and conversion to a fixed-type structure of dam numbered 3 on the Big Sandy River, Kentucky and West Virginia. (b) The work authorized by this section shall have no effect on the condition that local interests shall own. operate, and maintain the structure and related properties as required by the Act of August 6, 1956 (70 Stat. 1062). (c) There is authorized to be appropriated not to exceed $330,000 to carry out this section.
