Sec. 7. (a) Section 116(a) of the River and Harbor Act of 1970 (Public Law 91–611) is amended by inserting before the period the following: “, and thereafter to maintain such channel free of such trees, roots, debris, and objects”. (b) Section 116(c) of the River and Harbor Act of 1970 (Public Law 91–611) is amended by inserting before the period the following: “to clear the channel, and not to exceed $150,000 each fiscal year thereafter to maintain such channel”. 88 Stat. 16 (c) Section 116(b) of the River and Harbor Act of 1970 (Public Law 91–611) is amended by adding at the end thereof the following: “Non-Federal interests shall pay 25 per centum of the cost of maintaining the channel free of trees, roots, debris, and objects.”
