Sec. 301. Section 5108 (c) of title 5, United States Code, is amended— (1) by striking out the period at the end of paragraph (10) (B) and inserting in lieu thereof a semicolon; (2) by redesignating the paragraph (10) relating to the Law Enforcement Assistance Administration as paragraph (11) and by striking out the period at the end of that paragraph and inserting in lieu thereof a semicolon; (3) by redesignating the paragraph (10) relating to the Chief Judge of the United States Tax Court as paragraph (12) and by striking out “and” at the end of that paragraph; (4) by redesignating the paragraph (11) relating to the Chairman of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission as paragraph (13) and by striking out the period at the end of that paragraph and inserting in lieu thereof “ ; and”; and (5) by adding at the end thereof the following new paragraph: “(14) the Secretary of Health, Education, and Welfare, subject to the standards and procedures prescribed by this chapter, may place a total of eleven positions in the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism in GS-16, 17, and 18.”.
