Sec. 102. Section 402(b) of the Public Health Service Act is amended— (1) by striking out “in amounts not to exceed $35,000” in paragraph (1) and inserting in lieu thereof “if the direct costs of such research and training do not exceed $35,000, but only”; and (2) by striking out “in amounts exceeding $35,000” in para-88 Stat. 359graph (2) and inserting in lieu thereof “if the direct costs of such research and training exceed $35,000, but only”.
