nondiscrimination provisions Sec. 262. (a) No financial assistance for any program under this Act shall be provided unless the grant, contract, or agreement with respect to such program specifically provides that no recipient of funds will discriminate as provided in subsection (b) with respect to any such program. (b) No person in the United States shall on the ground of race, creed, color, sex, or national origin be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, be subjected to discrimination under, or be denied employment in connection with any program or activity receiving assistance under this Act. The provisions of the preceding sentence shall be enforced in accordance with section 603 of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Section 603 of such Act shall apply with respect to any action taken to enforce such sentence. This section shall not be construed as affecting any other legal remedy that a person may have if such person is excluded from participation in, denied the benefits of, subjected to discrimination under, or denied employment in connection with any program or activity receiving assistance under this Act.
