In order to provide for protection of the quality of water in Lake Casitas, and to provide for the preservation and enhancement of public outdoor recreation, fish and wildlife, and the environment of the area, the Secretary of the Interior is hereby authorized to acquire in the name of the United States certain privately owned lands within townships 3 and 4 north, ranges 23 and 24 west, San Bernardino base and meridian, lying outside the boundaries of the Los Padres National Forest, as generally depicted on the drawing entitled “Private Lands in Casitas Reservoir Watershed”, numbered 767–208–237, and dated September 1972, which is on file and available for public inspection in the offices of the Bureau of Reclamation, Department of the Interior.
