SEC. 1555. LAW ENFORCEMENT UNIT RECORDS. (a) In General.— Clause (ii) of section 438(a)(4)(B) of the General Education Provisions Act (20 U.S.C. 1232g(a)(4)(B)(ii)) is amended to read as follows: “(ii) records maintained by a law enforcement unit of the educational agency or institution that were created by that law enforcement unit for the purpose of law enforcement.”, (b) Effective Date.— The amendment made by this section shall take effect on the date of enactment of this Act.
