(a) Section 5 of the Federal Trade Commission Act (15 U.S.C. 45) is amended by striking out “in commerce” wherever it appears and inserting in lieu thereof “in or affecting commerce”. (b) Subsections (a) and (b) of section 6 of the Federal Trade Commission Act (15 U.S.C. 46(a), (b)) are each amended by striking out “in commerce” and inserting in lieu thereof “in or whose business affects commerce”. (c) Section 12 of the Federal Trade Commission Act (15 U.S.C. 52) is amended by striking out “in commerce” wherever it appears and inserting in lieu thereof in subsection (a) “in or having an effect upon commerce,” and in lieu thereof in subsection (b) “in or affecting commerce”.
