(a) Subsection (e) of section 144 of title 23, United States Code, is amended by striking out “1972; and” and inserting in lieu thereof “1972,”; by inserting immediately after “1973,” the following: “$25,000,000 for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1974, $75,000,000 for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1975, and $75,000,000 for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1976”. (b) Subsection (f) of section 144 of title 23, United States Code, is relettered as subsection (g) (including references thereto); and immediately after subsection (e) the following new subsection (f) is inserted: “(f) Funds authorized by this section shall be available solely for expenditure for projects on any Federal-aid system.” (c) Existing subsection (g) of section 144 of title 23, United States Code, is relettered as subsection (h) (including references thereto).
