(a) The fourth sentence of subsection (a) of section 402 of title 23, United States Code, is amended by striking out the period at. the end thereof and inserting in lieu thereof the following: “and bicycle safety.” (b) Paragraph (b) (1) (E) of section 402 of title 23, United States Code, is amended by striking out “and” before “(5)” and by striking out the period at the end of such paragraph and inserting in lieu thereof a comma and the following: “and (6) driver education programs, including research, that will assure greater safety for bicyclists using public roads in such State.”
