high-speed transportation demonstration Sec. 146. The Secretary is authorized to undertake a study and demonstration program for high-speed bus service from collection points in the Washington, District of Columbia area to Dulles International Airport, Virginia. Such study and demonstration shall utilize exclusive bus transportation lanes between points of origin and termination of such service, and include, where necessary, the construction of such exclusive bus transportation lanes as well as terminal and parking facilities. Such study and demonstration shall also include the purchase of high-speed buses. As necessary to implement this section, the Secretary shall undertake research into the development of buses designed to maintain high-speed, safe transportation. Not to exceed $10,600,000 of the amount authorized to be apportioned under section 104(b) (6) of title 23, United States Code, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1975, shall be available to the Secretary to carry out this section and such sum shall be set aside for such purpose, prior to the apportionment of such amount for such fiscal year.
