Consumer Product Safety Commission salaries and expenses For necessary expenses of the Consumer Product Safety Commission, including rent in the District of Columbia and hire of passenger motor vehicles, services as authorized by 5 U.S.C. 3109 but at rates for individuals not to exceed the per diem rate equivalent to the rate for GS–18, and not to exceed $800 for official reception and representation, $41,820,000: Provided, That funds provided by this appropriation for laboratories shall be available only for the acquisition or conversion of existing laboratories. For necessary expenses of the “Consumer Product Safety Commission” for the period July 1, 1976, through September 30, 1976, including rent in the District of Columbia and hire of passenger vehicles, services as authorized by 5 U.S.C. 3109 but at rates for individuals not to exceed the per diem rate equivalent to the rate for GS–18, and not to exceed $200 for official reception and representation, $10,355,000. None of the funds provided to the Consumer Product Safety Commission by this Act may be used for the preparation or enforcement of regulations to restrict the sale of firearms, ammunition or components thereof.
