Federal Communications Commission salaries and expenses For necessary expenses for the Federal Communications Commission, as authorized by law, including uniforms or allowances therefor, as authorized by law (5 U.S.C. 5901–5902); not to exceed $353,000 for land and structures; not to exceed $65,000 for improvement and care of grounds and repair to buildings; not to exceed $1,500 for official reception and representation expenses; purchase (not to exceed eight) and hire of motor vehicles; special counsel fees; and services as authorized by 5 U.S.C. 3109; $49,500,000: Provided, That not to exceed $500,000 of the foregoing amount shall remain available until September 30, 1977, for research and policy studies. For “Salaries and Expenses”, including the hire of motor vehicles, and not to exceed $375 for official reception and representation expenses, for the period July 1, 1976, through September 30, 1976; $12,325,000.
