rural development service For necessary expenses, not otherwise provided for, of the Rural Development Service in providing leadership, coordination, and related services in carrying out the rural development activities of the Department of Agriculture and for carrying out the responsibilities of the Secretary of Agriculture under section 701 of the Housing Act of 1954, as amended (40 U.S.C. 461), $1,305,000: Provided, That this appropriation shall be available for employment pursuant to the second sentence of section 706(a) of the Organic Act of 1944 (7 U.S.C. 2225), and not to exceed $3,000 shall be available for employment under 5 U.S.C. 3109. For “Rural Development Service” for the period July 1, 1976, through September 30, 1976, $354,000: Provided, that this appropriation shall be available for employment pursuant to the second sentence of section 706(a) of the Organic Act of 1944 (7 U.S.C. 2225), and not to exceed $750 shall be available for employment under 5 U.S.C. 3109.
