Rail Transportation Employment and Improvement To enable the Secretary of Transportation to make grants for programs aimed at reducing unemployment and at repairing, rehabilitating, or improving essential railroad roadbeds and facilities. $90,000,000 to remain available until December 31, 1976: Provided, that this appropriation shall be available only upon the enactment into law of authorizing legislation by the Ninety-fourth Congress. For “Rail Transportation Employment and Improvement” for the period July 1, 1976, through September 30, 1916, $18,000,000, to remain available until December 31, 1976: Provided, that this appropriation shall be available only upon the enactment into law of authorizing legislation by the Ninety-fourth Congress.
