elimination of certain affidavit requirements for foreign service officers who are promoted Sec. 402. Section 621 of the Foreign Service Act of 1946 (22 U.S.C. 991) is amended by adding at the end thereof the following new sentence: “The affidavit requirements of sections 3332 and 3333(a) of title 5 of the United States Code shall not apply with respect to a Foreign Service officer who has complied with such requirements and who is subsequently promoted by appointment to a higher class without a break in service.”.
