The Secretary of Health, Education, and Welfare shall conduct a study of, and submit to the Congress not later than 4 months after the date of enactment of this section a report containing his findings and recommendations with respect to, the appropriateness of reimbursement under the insurance program established by part B of 89 STAT. 1054title XVIII of the Social Security Act for services performed by doctors of optometry but not presently recognized for purposes of reimbursement with respect to the provision of prosthetic lenses for patients with aphakia.
