Assistant Secretary for Health salaries and expenses For expenses necessary for the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health, $22,316,000. 90 STAT. 1426 retirement pay and medical benefits for commissioned officers For retired pay of commissioned officers, as authorized by law, and for payments under the Retired Serviceman’s Family Protection Plan; Survivor Benefit Plan and payments for medical care of dependents and retired personnel under tile Dependents’ Medical Care Act (10 U.S.C., ch. 55), such amount as may be required during the current fiscal year. scientific activities overseas (special foreign currency program) For payments in foreign currencies which the Treasury Department determines to be excess to the normal requirements of the United States, for necessary expenses for conducting scientific activities overseas, as authorized by law, $1,500,000, to remain available until expended: Provided, That this appropriation shall be available in addition to other appropriations for such activities, for payments in the foregoing currencies.
