REPORT OF THE CONFERENCE.

SEC. 835. REPORT OF THE CONFERENCE. Section 205 of the Older Americans Act Amendments of 1987 (42 U.S.C. 3001 note) is amended— (1) in subsection (a) by striking “60” and inserting “90”; (2) in subsection (b) by striking “Secretary, not later than 180” and inserting “Policy Committee, not later than 90”; (3) in subsection (c)— 106 STAT. 1304 (A) by striking “(c) Final Report.— The Secretary” and inserting the following: “(c) Reports.— “(1) Initial report.— The Policy Committee”; (B) by striking “prepare a final report” and inserting “prepare and approve an initial report”; and (C) by adding at the end the following: “(2) Not later than 60 days after such initial report is transmitted by the Policy Committee, the Secretary shall publish such initial report in the Federal Register. The Secretary may republish a final report together with such additional views and recommendations as the Secretary considers to be appropriate.”; and (4) in subsection (d)— (A) in the heading of such subsection by striking “Secretary” and inserting “Policy Committee”;and (B) by striking “Secretary” and inserting “Policy Committee”.
