(a) Section 505(b) of the Regional Rail Reorganization Act of 1973 (45 U.S.C. 775 (b)) is amended— (1) in paragraph (1) thereof, by striking out “February 26, 1975” and inserting in lieu thereof “January 1, 1975”; (2) in paragraph (3) thereof, by striking out “February 26, 1975” and inserting in lieu thereof “January 1, 1975”; and (3) in paragraph (4) thereof, by striking out “February 26, 1975” and inserting in lieu thereof “January 1, 1975”. (b) Section 505(b)(1)(B) of the Regional Rail Reorganization Act of 1973 (45 U.S.C. 775(b)(1)(B)) is amended by inserting immediately after “(B)” the following: “with respect to a protected employee who has been deprived of his employment,”.
