Section 358 of the Agricultural Adjustment Act of 1938; as amended, is amended as follows: (a) Subsections (a) and (e) shall not be applicable to the 1978 through 1981 crops of peanuts. (b) Subsection (c)(1) is amended, effective for the 1978 through 1981 crops of peanuts, by striking out the period at the end of the second sentence and inserting in lieu thereof the following: “: Provided, That the peanut acreage allotment for the State of New Mexico shall not be reduced below the 1977 acreage allotment as increased pursuant to subsection (c) (2) of this section.”.
