amendments to the hatch act Sec. 1466. (a) Section 3(c) (4) of the Act of March 2, 1887 (24 Stat. 441, as amended; 7 U.S.C. 361c(c) (4)), is hereby repealed. (b) Section 3(c) (5) of such Act (24 Stat. 441, as amended; 7 U.S.C. 361c(c) (5)) is amended by adding at the end thereof a new sentence to read as follows: “These administrative funds may be used for transportation of scientists who are not officers or employees of the United States to research meetings convened for the purpose of assessing research opportunities or research planning.”.
