authorization of appropriations Sec. 505. There is authorized to be appropriated for fiscal year 1979 in a Military Construction Appropriation Act for use by the Secretary of Defense, or his designee, for military family housing as authorized by law for the following purposes: (1) For construction of, or acquisition of sole interest in, family housing, including demolition, authorized improvements to public quarters, minor construction, relocation of family housing, rental guarantee payments, and planning, an amount not to exceed $139,105,000. (2) For support of military family housing, including operating expenses, leasing, maintenance of real property, payments of principal and interest on mortgage debts incurred, payment to the Commodity Credit Corporation, and mortgage insurance premiums authorized under section 222 of the National Housing Act (12 U.S.C. 1715m), an amount not to exceed $1,562,500,000.
