authorization of appropriations for fiscal year 1979 Sec. 301. (a) Section 8(a) of the Board for International Broadcasting Act of 1973 (22 U.S.C. 2877(a)) is amended— (1) in the text preceding paragraph (1) by striking out “1978” and inserting in lieu thereof “1979”; and (2) in paragraph (1), as amended by section 302 of this Act, by striking out “$79,448,000” and “$8,500,000” and inserting in lieu thereof “$88,180,000” and “$5,000,000”, respectively. (b) The amendments made by subsection (a) of this section shall take effect on October 1, 1978.
