authorization of appropriations for fiscal year 1979 Sec. 201. (a) There is authorized to be appropriated for the International Communication Agency for fiscal year 1979 to carry out international communication, educational, cultural, and exchange programs under the United States Information and Educational Exchange Act of 1948, the Mutual Educational and Cultural Exchange Act of 1961, and Reorganization Plan Numbered 2 of 1977, and other purposes authorized by law, $420,577,000, and such additional amounts as may be necessary for increases in salary, pay, retirement, and other employee benefits authorized by law, and for other nondiscretionary costs. (b) Amounts appropriated under this section are authorized to remain available until expended.
