SEC. 305. WETLANDS MAPPING.Section 401(a) of Public Law 99–645, the Emergency Wetlands Resources Act of 1986 (16 U.S.C. 3931(a)), as amended by Public Law 101–233 is further amended— (1) in paragraph (3), by striking “as soon as practicable” and inserting in lieu thereof “by September 30, 2000”; 106 STAT. 2236 (2) in paragraph (4), by striking “. And” at the end of the paragraph and inserting in lieu thereof a semicolon; (3) in paragraph (5)(B), by striking the period and inserting in lieu thereof a semicolon; (4) by adding the following new paragraphs at the end thereof: “(6) produce, by September 30, 2004, a digital wetlands data base for the United States based on the final wetland maps produced under this section; and “(7) archive and make available for dissemination wetlands data and maps digitized under this section as such data and maps become available.”.
